shipping labels
I print shipping labels from ebay, however almost every other label gets misprinted, the barcode/trackingnumber is altered , i see the number in the preview window just fine as it should be, but when i print, numbers will be switched around on the printed label and its useles. I do the same with another account in chrome back to back and i had never had a misprint there. Printer software is up to date and even after firefox update i had no changes, sometimes i refresh the printpage before i print but there are always labels that dont print correctly. Today it was 3 out of 12, other times its 4 out of 10--totally random. As i mentioned, it never happened in chrome. The photo shows the wrong printed labels..they should all start with 9400 but they are not--preview window shows them with 9400--it happens daily in the multi label print window.

Wow, that is puzzling.

Is that an eBay feature, the multi label print window, or a feature on USPS's site?

If you haven't already, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
- (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
and OK the restart.
Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
Any improvement?
Thank you for your quick answer. I tried safe mode today but only had 5. one did not show up due to safe mode i believe(international labels seem different) and 1 of the 4 was cobbled up again (pretty normal). The page is generated from ebay, after i adjust package weights and sizes and purchase the labels it will redirect me to a PDF window. 2 labels per page. The screenshots are from todays labels in safe mode.
So the PDF is correct, but the printout doesn't match the PDF? That's really difficult to explain.
Firefox's built-in PDF Viewer converts the PDF to HTML, so printing certainly can be imperfect, but changing characters is nuts. My only guess on what could possibly cause that would be a font substitution, but I don't see why that would affect only the printout. ??!!
Yes the PDF is always correct but the print changes. I have tried to print just single pages at a time if i had 6 pages i print just 1 then 2 aso instead of all together... but it wont change that 1 or sometimes even both labels per page will change the numbers around, almost never are all labels good to go. Only if i print 1 label at a time. I did 3 pages (12 labels) on chrome today as well and no issues--never had. I see how that is strange for sure
I think you may have to print from Adobe Acrobat/Reader or some other application. You can use the little download button on the PDF Viewer's toolbar to open the PDF in the app:
Did you try to scan to barcode as it sounds very weird that the label text changes ? The screenshots you posted aren't clear enough that I can scan them.
9400 1082 0549 6242 3257 38 9400 1082 0549 7454 5534 07
Endret
I will try to print from adobe and see if that changes it next time. Thanks
Cor-el >> The labels do scan but come up as an error at the postoffice, thats how i got aware of it one day, the postmaster called me back and said they wont scan for acceptance. All these labels have to start with a 9400
