Firefox Sync operations
What does Sync do? (My primary concern is that I do not want to lose information) ... I am NOT talking about how to set Sync up, but when I execute "Sync NOW" ... what does it do?. There are many ways a sync can be performed.if I don't understand what it does, I can lose information. If i execute "Sync NOW" - does can Sync both push or pull information? - will Sync push information from the computer where I am sitting ... to a server or buffer then push to all my other devices? ... or will it push directly to all my devices? ... or instead of pushing ... without warning, Sync pulls information to my device? - Is the transfer of information immediate or is there some type of buffer? - Is the transfer of information a (complete or partial) merger or does it override all existing information? - Is the complete transfer of information immediate or is it buffered? - when pulling information does it inform of a timestamp on the information source of when it was last updated? - are these operations immediate, scheduled, or automatic? Do you see where I am going? ... I need to be able to predict Sync's performance.
