Bitdefender Total Security notifications showing a critical warning under the heading of: "Suspicious Activity blocked"
"firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to ws.alaincharles.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk."
It gives me the option of adding this as an exception. Should I ?????? If not what should I /firefox do?

ws.alaincharles.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on January 8, 2022 at 4:45 AM. The current time is January 9, 2022 at 3:23 PM. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE
You will need to wait until they fix the problem.
Note that you do not need Bitdefender Total Security to warn you about this. Firefox is perfectly capable to notice this and warn you and blocks access.

Hi thank you both for rapid responses.
I recently purchased Bitdefender and haven't previously had an alert referencing ws.alaincharles.com. Nor, (to my knowledge anyhow), had I tried to access that site before or since the alert.
From what I now interpret from both replies, is that the certificate is not related to firefox, instead firefox has followed an "indirect" request to the ws.alaincharles.com site and flagged it as a suspicious website which Bitdefender has followed up on.
In which case the outdated certificate is not associated with firefox?
I'll do a fresh cookie clean up to see if that removes the association with the site and removes the alert. OK?
The certificate for ws.alaincharles.com expired on 1/8/2022, so the website needs to renew its crtificate.
(I noticed I had a wrong screenshot posted above; updated)
