Thunderbird gets stuck at "Add Security Exception" for icloud account

When opening Thunderbird, the icloud certificate fails seems to be invalid. I can not close the dialog box with x in top-right corner, not Cancel, not Confirm Security Exception. The dialog window blocks access to the main Thunderbird window.
