new email for thunderbird does not show one of the accounts "Trash" folder from Cox
my thunderbird email updated to the new "Supernova" format today. I had a bit of trouble getting things to look and act like before but one major issue is that one of my Cox email accounts does not display a "TRASH" folder in the trash folder listings. I have 6 email accounts and only 5 accounts listed under TRASH. If I delete an email from this missing trash account..it is not visible anywhere in TB. If I go on line to Cox webmail, it is there..how do I correct this to show in TB?

Hi oldbob2,
I had this problem too (among many others) and I did find a fix.
In the unified folder list on the left side-bar, if you RMB-click on the Trash section header, you'll see a properties option at the bottom.
Select this and then click the Choose button as illustrated in the images below to select which accounts/trash folders should be included in the Trash section. Check each account's "Trash" folder is checked, if it's a Gmail account you might have to expand the Gmail folder to see it.
Once done, click OK and then Update...
Worked for me, hope it does for you.

As additional information that might help is if I UNCHECK to show unified folders and see my 6 email accounts, the trash folder DOES show but it DOES NOT show if I view as UNIFIED folders which is my preferred method..so I have a unified inbox like before. In the Unified view it also does not show ANY JUNK messages..they do show if uncheck unified view.

I MAY have found a workaround for now..If I remember what I did was to right click on Trash for the missing account trash and selected Properties. Then under the line "search the folders" I found all the folders for that email and checked next to " trash or deleted " and now it shows. Very cumbersome..does this mean I have to go into all email accounts for each folder like trash/spam etc and select it to point to the specific folder..never had to do this before..there must be a master in settings.

Thank you for your screen shots..that is what I did to correct this but it never required this extra work in old program. Hopefully they will find a way to make this automatic for others in the future and your screen shots will help others until they do..
