clearing history

When I clear History and cache, either using the menu or quitting the browser (which has the preference set to clear upon closing), then go back to the same Web site I was on, it uses an old version of the page not one that I revised and uploaded on the server. How do I force it to go look in the server anew, or stop using files that I thought I could clear.

I am using Firefox 115.150 esr or MAC 10.15.7. Thank you.

Dean

Hi Dean, just to make sure you are viewing the page without any cached assets, could you reload using either:

  • Shift+click the Reload button
  • Press Command+Shift+R

If that works, I wonder whether your Clear History settings are not including the cache?
