Almost every website complains that cookies are not enabled. I have followed instructions on Mozilla Help. Deleted history, cache, and cookies. What now?

I am using Firefox 3.6.10 and Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite L-675D. Almost every website says I have cookies disabled after I ask for another page, etc. I have followed the help instructions from assuring that cookies are enabled and 3rd party cookies are accepted, etc. I completed the recommendations down to deleting history, cookies, and cache. Nothing helped.

Try to clear the cookies from sites that cause problems.
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
