when I try to import bookmarks from safari, the firefox import button doesn't light up

I installed FF 4.0. I'm trying to import my bookmarks from Safari. I keep trying, but when I hit 'file' on firefox, the 'import' button is not active.

The option to import can be disabled if you are in private browsing mode. To stop Firefox opening in private browsing mode do this:

  1. In the Firefox menu select Preference to open the Preferences window
  2. Go to the Privacy panel
  3. Change the setting "Firefox will" to "Remember history", alternatively if you set it to "Use custom settings for history", de-select the setting "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
