I keep getting this error after I installed a lower version of Firefox in addition to the current version of Firefox. I have since then removed the older version of firefox and reinstalled the current one. It stays there no matter what I do. Youtube keeps warning me I need to update flash player (even though most of the videos are working).
Here's a few facts:
My flash player is up to date, has been removed and reinstalled. Shockwave has been removed and reinstalled. Older version of Firefox was removed. Current Firefox was reinstalled and is up to date. I get "Some plugins required by this page have been blocked for your protection." on every page with flash player on. Pages don't display flash objects, neither is there anything in place of them - they're invisible, blank space. Flash player works fine in IE, no error messages. When I check for addon updates, no addon is listed as outdated. These are my addons: http://i.imgur.com/HJEaGmz.png
Why am I still getting this message? How do I fix this?
Thanks in advance

Hey, I checked out Help > Troubleshooting Information again and saw that there is a "Reset Firefox..." button. I used that and it seems to have resolved the problem!

Your Shockwave Flash plugin looks current, but disabled. If you switch the drop-down on the right side of that row from "Never Activate" to "Always Activate," does that remove the error?
Hello jscher2000,
unfortunately the disabled addons don't have drop-down menus, so I cannot switch to Always Activate.
Hi Vibe, do you have the drop-down control for your other plugins??
The plugin registry file might have become corrupted, and/or you can reset the enabled/disabled status by clearing that file. You can have Firefox regenerate it as follows:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Switch back to Firefox and Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename pluginreg.dat to something like pluginreg.old
Restart Firefox, and it should re-scan available plugins and enable them by default. Does that help?
I tried it but it did not help. Other addons have the drop-down menu. Providing full screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/TVwGJ5Z.png

If it happens again the try to try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.
See Re-initializing the plugins database:
cor-el, I tried to do just that before using the "Reset Firefox..." option and it didn't help.
Thanks for all the help either way!
