When firefox browser is updated to the newest version do my settings and preferences reset themselves or do they remain the same

I wanted to know whether when i update or when firefox browser is automatically updated to the latest version if my settings and browser preferences etc that i have made to firefox browser change or reset themselves to default as i dont wish for them to be as it is and would be a nuisance if i had to keep setting things back again and again when the browser is updated to the latest and newest version so please tell me that this doesnt happen, thanks.

No, Firefox respect your preferences when you update. You should always have Firefox set to automatically update, as this keep you most secure and running the latest version. All your personal data and settings are safe.
