spedendo un messaggio con cun thunderbitrd ricevo il seguente messaggio:

Invio del messaggio non riuscito. Non è stato possibile inviare il messaggio perché la connessione al server di posta in uscita (SMTP) smtp.ergonet.it è scaduta. Riprova.

spedendo le stesso messaggio dal sito originale 

webmail.acquariaonlus.it, il messaggio parte normalmente.

i messaggi in arrivo arrivano regolarmente

thunderbird è stato scaricato 4 giorni fà

altri indirizzi di posta ricevono e spediscono regolarmente

Secondo me devi chiedere a chi gestisce il server SMTP. Il fatto che da webmail funzioni non significa nulla.
