Basically, My friend has told me that a computer worm has been eating away at my computer, but I'm asking you if you know how I can make it so that whenever i launch Firefox again it won't reset the proxy settings to where it says: 'Firefox cannot connect to the internet, we suggest you re-configure your proxy settings.' (That is not the exact way the message was displayed, I just it's words into mine.)

Also, whenever i fix it, I discover that my homepage was reset to this: http://www.v9.com/?type=hppp&ts=1402272131&from=amt&uid=FUJITSUXMHT2060AH_NP0DT492ATSDT492ATSDX&i=psd&t=343d1bf21

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
