plug-in container has stopped working. No printing from web
Went to print a receipt from a web page and got firefox 'not responding'. Then error message after I click to close..."plug-in container has stopped working". I have reset ff, i have uninstalled and reinstalled. flash is up to date. I have EWPS plug in (I have an epson printer) and E web page plug in. When I checked in my pc for the ewps, it doesn't open but says it needs plug in container and to re download e-web print. did that. No better. Not an epson issue as other stuff prints. Please help thanks

Hmm, the plugin on your list that seems most relevant to printing a receipt is Nitro PDF, if you are using that as your PDF viewer and the receipt is generated as a PDF document. Just a guess.
When I looked up E-Web Print before, the information I saw said Epson no longer supports this software, meaning it is not updated if it becomes incompatible with Firefox. See: Epson E-Web Print toolbar works with IE but not Firefox 28 on Windows 8 PC. Is it necessary, or can you disable it?
I will uninstall e-web print and the ewps webprint and see what happens. However, FYI. it was working until today.
ok. did that. STill absolutely no response except Firefox NOT responding, I close FF and get the same plugin error message. Seems like something very wrong with ff
Does the page load normally and just not print, or does it freeze during loading?
If you can, if you click the "Lego-like" icon in the address bar for the page, what plugin(s) does it mention being used in the page?
Please see attached if that helps..
the page loads normally if you mean, opening a window. However, I cannot 'load' to print, or do anything with the upper toolbar (the one that shows up when you hit 'alt'. None of the items under file do anything. and ff stops responding.
I'm trying to figure out what plugin(s) the problem page is using.
Are there other pages on the site (same host name, e.g., www.example.com) that do not lock up Firefox? If so, please open one of those pages and then switch all the plugins to "Ask to Activate" for the site. Here's what I mean:
Click the padlock or globe in the address bar and then click "More Information". At the top of the Page Info dialog, click Permissions. Then, in the plugins section, click "Always Ask" for each one and close the dialog.
The next time you visit the problem page, Firefox should show a bar telling you which plugin needs to be activated. Actually, this might not kick in until after you exit and start Firefox up again.
It is asking to run Adobe Flash. But the first part of your response doesn't make sense. It isn't about the site freezing ff. It has something to do with printing. All pages load. The problem is ONLY when I go to save or print something on a web page....or... when you I open the top toolbar and click 'file'. when I click file, it opens, but as soon as I go to click any options under 'file', ff freezes.
I have NO clue what happened. But here it is....I started pc this am. Opened to my usual page ..www.apl.tv to the puppies (I love dogs and I look at them when I'm stressed!) and the video was blank. RIght click asked me to 'activate' or enable adobe flash. Set the site to allow it and I can see the puppies. Good! Next, went to page with the recipe and clicked 'print'..and ....it printed!!! I did also install a required windows update this am as well. So I am not sure what did it, but all seems ok now. thank you
