My mail has been working perfectly till today. I was sending an email, but cancelled it before it finished. Now the ' send ' button is greyed out. It is there if I reply to mail, but not for new mail

I have reinstalled, run without add ons, and it is still greyed out. Any help greatly appreciated.

Send is not active until you enter something is an address field. When you reply the field is filled in when the write window opens.

Make sure your Thunderbird is in 'online' state. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Outbox#Online_and_offline_states
