Old computer crashed. I have files on an external drive. Can I copy my old emails into Thunderbird on new computer?

Old computer crashed. I have files on an external drive. Can I copy my old emails into Thunderbird on new computer?

My laptop died. We were able to copy all the files from the hard drive but I wasn't able to do the export/import of my Profile that Mozilla recommends.

I did figure out a solution. I copied the file containing the emails onto my new computer and clicked the "repair" button in Thunderbird. Problem solved. :)
