What causes some my email filters to unlink from the assigned folderafter a Thunderbird update
After the last several updates to Thunderbird,a number of my emails no longer sort to their respective folders. The filter ceases to function.

Your the first I have heard of such a thing. Although error messages can be common right after an update. Especially if you have not created an exception for your Thunderbird profile folder in your anti virus
There is no error message. Some not all of the incoming emails do not sort into the effected folders and remain in the "in Box". In the past, I just build another filter which fixes the problem but then after another update other filters break. This is getting to be a pain
what do you mean you just built another filter? is the other one missing from the list?
