Instagram images at other websites don't show - no error icon, just a blank white square
Not a huge problem, but it nags me that I can't find a solution! Occurs on quite a few sites that repost content, such as BuzzFeed and the like. Occurs only with instagram images (I think).
For example, at http://hellogiggles.com/jasmine-aladdin-reunited-irl/, the Disney image at the top loads fine, but the two bottom images (embedded from instagram) don't. There is no broken link indicator; just a white square; the caption shows up fine. If I right click on the caption, I can go to the image at instagram.com just fine; right clicking on the blank "image" portion just gives me the navigation context menu.
I can't quite recall if this started prior to installing Windows 10 or not, but that's what I'm running now. Images load all right in Chrome, ruling out my AV software.
I have reset (but not reinstalled) Firefox, version 40.0.3.
I've done a google search and checked various help fora for this issue, but no-one else seems to be having the problem.
I'd be very interested in any thoughts any of you might have! And thanks in advance.

I checked the page. I could not find your white square or any picture.

I see these images from instagram: https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/alpha/000_40.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/embed/embed-assets.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/apple-touch-icon-114x114-precomposed.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/apple-touch-icon-144x144-precomposed.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/apple-touch-icon-72x72-precomposed.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/favicon.ico https://instagramstatic-a.akamaihd.net/bluebar/c0d52a5/images/ico/favicon.svg
If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains. You can tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
- Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
- If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.
There are extensions like Adblock Plus (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and Anti-Virus software that can block images and other content.

Thank you everyone. I have done most of that, except for trying Safe Mode. I will do so and report back. I will also upload a screenshot, but won't have a chance to get to it until tomorrow. For the record, I wouldn't have expected anyone not having the problem to experience it, but wanted to include a link as an example of the kind of page that I'm seeing affected.
No change in safe mode, and here's the screenshot.
OK, I've checked it and I'm not seeing those images as well. The images are loaded from the server in an iframe via a script, but in Firefox the height of the iframe isn't calculated correctly and stays at the initial value of 0 (zero).
This makes the image not showing. There are two iframes with id id="instagram-embed-0" and id id="instagram-embed-1" that both show a height=0 If I use the Inspector (right-click: Inspect Element) to set the height to 763 by editing the height value then the images show up.
