I'd use the Email Address Crawler add-on. IIRC, it invites you to nominate an address book.

According to the text, you do remember, but how is it instigated? I have it installed, but can find no way to run it and nothing explains that. Is it too old and not want to run on the latest Thunderbird? Thanks.
