Extended clipboard "Clipple" add-on stopped working on upgrade to v.44.0
Title says it all...
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/clipple/
I am an experienced troubleshooter. - I have removed and reinstalled - I have added another "clipboard enhancing" add-on = it is not appearing either - both are showing as enabled in [Extensions] = multiple restarts - disabled all and added ONLY Clipple
I am convinced that FF 44.0 is preventing the add-on from even 'appearing' in the contextual menu where it normally would be.

I see you already opened an issue with the author here: https://github.com/mooz/clipple/issues
I'm not sure we will have any more insight. There were some clipboard-related changed in Firefox 44. I haven't dug into the details, but it's very possible that the extension will need an update if an old interface was removed.

Yep... not my first rodeo.
I am in an unusual situation = my Mac display is broken and I am borrowing a Dell laptop/Win10 (I am a Machead from Way Back) -- if I knew how to revert back to FF 43.x, I would do so in a heartbeat.
On my Mac, I always renamed the Firefox 'package' and downloaded the newer version so I could go back. Win/FF did the update with no 'warning' even though that is my preference setting (musta missed something in my ignorance) [see image of the setting]

I have successfully downgraded to 43.0.4
My experimentation while still running 44.0 was indeed adding my copy instances to the Clipple "list"
see image for the "experiment" ;-)
The warning feature only checks whether the compatible version range inside the extension excludes the update, and not whether the code itself will run properly in the new version. That would be impossible for the installer to determine.

Gottit = referring to a known issue "list" ??
I am gonna stick with 43.0.4 for an extended period, then try update again when the build number gets higher - I will also watch the github post (fat chance?) for any response from the Clipple developer (if he is still alive and well)
Thanks for you response, amigo
