I used to be able to access Documents list in date order when I wanted to choose an attachment to e mail using Windows 7 and Thunderbird. Now I have changed to Windows 10 I can only access Document list in name order and can't see how I can change this to date order. NB when access document list directly ie without going through Thunderbird I can change view option to see both in date order or in name order but normally keep in date order.

If you open a new Write email and then click on 'Attach' to locate file, the window that opens is a Windows Explorer window. 'View' > 'Details' is a good option. You can select whatever column headers you want to see by right clicking anywhere in a column headers and select 'More'.

This has nothing to do with Thunderbird.
