Need to move and combine an old profile on a new computer that we've been using Thunderbird on for a few days.

We've been using Thunderbird for years on an old PC running Windows XP. We just upgraded to a new iMac running El Capitan. We've been having trouble moving the old profile. I had no idea it would be so technical. But since we've been using the new computer for a few days we don't won't to overwrite the new identity.

How can we move and combine the old profile with the new one?

We've been using Thunderbird for years on an old PC running Windows XP. We just upgraded to a new iMac running El Capitan. We've been having trouble moving the old profile. Use that add-on to import individual folders of mail. One at a time.
