ff doesn't fill in username and passwords anymore
A couple days ago FF stopped filling in usernames and passwords when you go to various sites to log in to. It doesn't seem to be site specific. Firefox still has the passwords if you go look.

I restarted in safe mode, and the problem wasn't happening in safe mode. Then I exited and ran ff again, and the problem is gone. I didn't change the theme and I didn't refresh ff. Makes no sense to me why that fixed it but, it's fixed.

Does Firefox show a suggestion when you start typing a name or double-click in the name field?
Is the Password Manager enabled?
- Options/Preferences -> Security: Logins: "Remember logins for sites"
Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
- Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
Yes, it does show a suggestion when you start typing a name or double-click the name field, but after you pick the name, it doesn't fill in the password field like it used to.
Yes, Remember logins for sites is checked.
I have it on Firefox will remember history.
Try to use "Fill Login" in the right-click context menu of the user name field.
There is no fill, only save edit and delete
You can find "Fill Login" in the context menu of name field on the web page (i.e. not in the Password Manager).
No, that's what I'm saying, I can't find "Fill Login" in the context menu of the name field on the web page. If I right click on the name field, it has "Save login info", "Edit login info", and "Delete login info".
But if I double click or start typing, it does have the name there. The bigger problem is that when you do pick the name, it doesn't fill in the password.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
