Every day it gets worse. I have done everything the support forum has suggested and it has resulted in an even slower browser. I get only half a page that will load and have to wait sometimes 5 minutes for the second half to load. The little blue dots keep swirling away but nothing happens. Then if I click on something it takes forever to load- if at all. Gmail seems to be working better than any other visited site. Facebook, Instagram, Ebay, and other sites freeze or don't load at all so I've given up on them. Safari works fine. It is not my mac. This only started when the update happened. I see many complaints and no fixes that work. I know this is a free site, so we shouldn't complain. But I liked Firefox. I really don't want to switch. But they are leaving me with no choice. Again, I have tried EVERY fix. And none have helped. Are they working on an update to fix their update or is Mozilla done and I have I switch to everything over to Safari which I really don't want to do?

Hi, try updating to the latest version, the newest version is 57.0.4 -- not 57.0!

more options

It is 57.0.4 I have even reinstalled it and it didn't help.

You did not say what you have done already, so we may repeat.

Have your ISP check your service.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I have had this same problem for a couple months, it is SO BAD, I have started using Chrome. I even have written several feedback comments on this problem as well as several others, sadly, no response from you guys. I have done every step by step method you offer for a fix, including uninstall, run CCleaner, reinstall and still, in side by side "screenshots to prove" your browser can't hit 100 megs and Chrome can give me over 140 megs. Chrome is consistently faster "WAY FASTER" and Firefox may hit 80 or 90 one out of 5 or more tests using half a dozen different testing sites. This was only discovered after two ISP techs were here for about 3 to 4 hours each, ran new lines, tested all lines, new modem even. So during a chat with a lady tech I had spoke with often a thought popped in my head that all our tests were using Firefox, so she and I used Chrome, IE, Even EDGE which is total crap and all tests were way over 100megs D/L Speed test with Firefox are anywhere from as slow as 9megs D/L to 81 megs D/L, and any given test can be anywhhere in between, they are all over the chart. All other browsers are consistent from 175 meg D/L to 188 D/L and sometimes even better.
