have a black screen and firefox will not load
Firefox will not load. Continue to get a black or white screen with the blue wheel rotating. Other web browsers continue to work correctly. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same effect.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
