All of a sudden I can not get my documents to open after latest update

When I go to open it states permission is not granted. This happens with my own doucments as well as those of known sources. It also happens with excel. Any thoughts how to revert back to pre-update?

Hi mljacobs, could you describe this in a little more detail. You mentioned Excel, so I wonder whether this issue is in Firefox or in Finder?

If there are issues in Firefox, do they affect files stored on a website such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, or email attachments on a site like Gmail or Outlook, or any kind of links?
