If you want to keep using Lockwise with unimpeded access to the clear text of passwords, there is a way to temporarily turn off the new requirement of Firefox 76 to enter your Windows 10 password (I say temporarily because this likely will be removed in a future release):
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste os-auth and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the signon.management.page.os-auth.enabled preference to switch the value from true to false
More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox.

Hi cary.rowton, Lockwise should not ask for a Master Password unless you set one yourself. However, Firefox 76 has a new feature to ask for your OS password on Windows or MacOS if you want to view the text of a password or copy it. More info in this article: Secure Firefox passwords with device sign-in. Is that what you're seeing?
That's exactly what's happening. I'll check out the link you posted. Thank you

Genius award goes to jscher2000. Worked like a charm. Going to save an offline copy of this for future reference. Thank you!
