Firefox Sync deleted nearly all of my add-ons - how to undo this or at least find out which add-ons were deleted so I can restore

more options

I had about 15 add-ons and for some reason one Firefox install on my computer deleted 13 add-ons without me asking it to or giving any permission to do so. I looked up on my other computer, it still had 15 add-ons and then Firefox sync deleted those 13 as well, now I can't remember which add-ons I had, I really need all those extensions back.

Can this be undone, or at least is there a log file showing which extensions were deleted so I can get them back please? This is really frustrating, I've no idea why they were deleted.

I'd really appreciate your help, thank you.

Hi Kit, Firefox doesn't keep any backups of the extensions.json file in your profile folder which lists all your extensions. Possibly that file retained something about the deleted extensions, but they might be gone from there, in which case you would need to find a backup.

To view the contents of the file, you can drop it into a Firefox tab, and after a few moments, Firefox should show a structured view. Much of the content will be related to built-in search engines, but it should also list your extensions, or least the current ones.
