Like the title says, I can't type correctly on Youtube: even if the Search bar is selected, it thinks everything is a hotkey (e.g. pressing M will both add an M to the bar *and* mute the current video, exception is Space which cannot be input & only pauses the video instead)

I have tried to disable all plugins but nothing changed it; I know it's something with Firefox because I tried Chrome and it doesn't have that problem. I can type normally on other sites (as you can see). I've also tried clearing data and cache, refreshing and reinstalling Firefox, but no solution.

Does anyone help me with this, please?

There have been quite a few reports about this YouTube issue recently.

Looks like a YouTube bug where JavaScript always interprets a space bar and other characters as control keys and doesn't disable this action when an input field has focus.

A possible workaround for now is to write text or affected characters elsewhere (e.g. in the location bar) and paste the clipboard content in the search bar or comment field.
