I have Thunderbird Beta (97.0b3) using with Windows 10 at current patch levels.

Why are there 2 folders - "Junk" and "Junk Mail"? I have 3 email accounts I use with Thunderbird and each of these has the 2 folders. Can I delete on of them?

What is the purpose of the "Junk" folder versus the "Spam" folder?

'Junk' is the term used by TB if Junk Controls are enabled for the account. 'Junk Mail', 'Spam', 'Bulk Mail' and also 'Junk' are used by various providers and work with their spam controls. So, what you see depends on the account settings and whether you subscribe to the provider's folder.
