I am trying to activate Firefox Sync add on. When I get to the point where I have to copy the characters in the box to prove I am "not a robot" there are no characters visible. I have had this happen on other sites, too.

I saw the characters clearly to register for this site.

I now have a name for the images I can't see. They are called "captcha"

It is these Captcha things that I don't see.
