After downloading 4 it is running verrrrrrrrrrry slow why? Plus it keeps saying not responding.
On the recommendation of Yahoo I downloaded Firefox 4 now it keeps either saying "not responding" or "trouble running script". Also everything is very slow. I am not computer savvy so I find this very annoying. I'd love my old version back. Any help you can give (in simple terms) would be appreciated.

It is relativley easy to downgrade see installing a previous version of firefox. Should you decide on that course of action it may also be worth reading the tips from TonyE about downgrading to Firefox 3.6
If your main or only problem with Firefox 4 is the error message then first of all look at
- Warning unresponsive script
- is your problem only with one or two sites ?
- if so what are those sites ?
If the problem relates to heavy graphics or video being slow it may well be worth trying firefox 4 with the hardware acceleration turned off, and also trying to check that any video drivers are up to date.

that also has its own setting for FlashPlayer hardware acceleration and it may be worth experimenting trying disabling (or alternatively enabling) that also
