After which I must click on the small House Icon above to get to Firefox but nothing appears in the "http etc at top. I click on the left of that line and it comes up with something that says that the site has no info and is not secure... something to that effect... If I click on the icon near the "Start" button on left bottom I get the same thing except when I double click I do get the correct screen with the correct address above. I have XP.

See:

If you use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.

Thanks. It's gone now. Had "Untitled" page for a while. Did clear "cookies and Cache" and updated to 4.0. "Untitled changed to "New Tab". A couple days went by and updates came through. I believe it revived the Norton's Bar at top and things seemed to improve somewhat. Aside from desktop icon not working all the time, it's about 90% back to "Normal".
