Firefox crashes also in safe mode. crash ID: bp-f3025d14-c36a-4041-a1cb-7f38f2111124 Indication given: Download and install the driver for Synaptics touchpad. (?) What to do? Thank you in advance for your help.

This is probably caused by or related to a "Frankenstein-build"; an update or system restore went wrong so some files belong to Firefox 7 and some belong to Firefox 8
You can try to solve this by deleting your current Firefox and downloading and installing a new fresh copy
