my providerhad to reset my proxy setting for IE7 which corrected the problem with that app. I laso use Mozilla and the error message I'm getting when trying to log into Firefox is (I'm being told is my proxy setting won't allow firefox - how do I fix this)

Check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.
