A friend of can't open Firefox. It says Windows Media is default program. Can you tell me what the problem might be.

She had the win7 maleware on her computer. We got rid of it. Now when she tries to start IE or Firefox it goes to Windows Media window. Is there some sort of file extension problem. Also, she went to DOWNLOADS window and tried to re-install Firefox Setup 4.0.1 - didn't work.
