ubuntu software center provided an update by the name of flash installer after which the flashplayer earlier in the system stopped working. now even with updates provided in firefox, do not help. please provide an update for flash player for ubuntu11.10 OS.

Hi,

You can try to completely uninstall the Flash Player via the software center and install it afresh. After uninstallation please also try deleting the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder. This file will be regenerated at the next Firefox start. Checking with the Ubuntu Forums would also be helpful.

Your system details list shows an old Shockwave Flash 10.1 r999.Gnash plugin.
You need to remove that plugin and install the latest Flash plugin instead.
