Firefox crashes first time on startup, and everytime i try to open preferences. MAC OS X 10.6.8

i updated os x, and my plugins, and updated to firefox 11, and the crashing started. firefox 12 crashes too. both 11 and 12 crash everytime i open preferences, extensions, or add-ons. what is the cause of this? everything was running fine when i had firefox 10 and before i updated os x and my plugins.

my plugins- quicktime 7.6.6.0, silverlight 5.0.61118.0, flip4mac windows media 2.4.2.4, shockwave flash 11.2.202.233, sharepoint browser plugin for microsoft office.

Me too. It started when I upfraded to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS so I'm sure there's some sort of compatability issue. Fix it Firefox please ? I don't want to go over to another browser such as Opera but I'll be forced to if Firefox keeps crashing. It's occurred on both my PCs.
