Cannot connect to Windows Live contacts after upgrading

I was using Windows Live to chat with a friend most of yesterday, until I had a request to Install Release 13.0 of the Firefox browser. After the browser restarted, I was unable to see any of my online contacts within the Messenger list, and was unable to chat with them, unless moving over to IE8, which works as expected. I have tried again this morning with no success, so will have to go back to IE for today and the forseeable future (I am unable to install Messenger as the port is blocked for communication via corporate policy)

hello, thanks for reporting. it is a known issue and already worked upon by microsoft/hotmail, see bug #762170 (please don't post in bug reports).
