Since the last update, I cannot open Gmail in Firefox. I can in Internet Explorer. How do I fix that?

Since I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, I cannot open Gmail. It says "Connecting" for hours. I can access Gmail from Internet Explorer. I am running Windows 7. I will try resetting to default Firefox.
