why updating firefox to 17 or 17.01 stops youtube videos from working, till i uninstall and install again since reinstall and safemode are useless?
after i updated from firefox 16.02 to firefox 17 the falsh videos stopped working on youtube it give video unavailable or another error message while on google chrome it was working normally. i tried safemode but the problem occurs, i tried reinstall using the set up but the problem still exists. i uninstalled firefox and then installed it again then it worked and videos plays again. but today after i updated to version 17.01 the same problem happened. so i uninstalled and installed again but this removes all my bookmarks and addons. Do i have from now on to uninstall and install firefox to have the latest version?

Hi,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
If you would like to take a listing of the add-ons, changed preferences/settings etc. to quickly replicate the previous profile, please Copy all to clipboard (on the left of the reset button), and paste it into Office Excel, or OpenOffice/LibreOffice Calc, or notepad. However, it would be a good idea to check for the existence of the issue immediately after the reset.
thank you for your help, my problem now fixed after i uninstall and install if the problem happen again after update i will try your steps above
