This appears to have solved the black-out problem. I'll re-post if it reoccurs. tks.

This is the closest to the problem I am seeing. When the pc wakes from sleep, some parts of the Firefox window appears black until I minimize/restore it, or close/restart it. Some parts of the window reappear if I mouse over it repeatedly. This is relatively new. I don't usually report minor problems like this unless they repeat.
