refresh tab automatically, and send me alert (growl?) if something on web page = xx

Hello:

I previously used the tab util add-on for firefox (but about 2 versions of firefox ago, it was no longer compatible). That sorta did what I want.

Now i need a new solution as i have nothing.

1) I have a web page (its a webUI), and on the web page, i can click a link to refresh the page so it refreshes space used. I would like this to be automatic.

2) Secondly, I would then like to receive a popup/alert (growl notification?) or something, when the number reaches a certain threshold i set.

This would save me looking at this web page every few hours.

I checked with the service provider, they have nothing. I checked with growl notification, they have nothing. So my last hope, there is something tricky in firefox land.

if you know of anything, would be super if you could let me know. thankyou

Sorry, but this part of your original posting made no mention of your having looked at AMO for different add-on.
