Accidentally I must have pressed the "Group Your Tab" icon and I can not undue it - and after playing with it I have lost many of the tabs that I had open. I just want it to restore like it was.

You can try using the History menu > Recently Closed Tabs to recover the ones you closed. (That menu has a different list for each window.)

Once you have more than one tab group, I think you have to use the screen with the thumbnails (Ctrl+Shift+e) to drag the tabs back into a single group.

However, I don't use this feature myself, so if that doesn't work well, hang on for further advice.
