firefox isn't starting on my xp sp3 system, checked other option for similar problems on yours page, nothing worked.
firefox is not starting on my service pack 3 xp system, suddenly it stopped working and i have tried some suggestion provided by you for similar problems like restarting, uninstalling, some changes being made by bringing the system in safe mode with networking, which were suggested to other people with similar problems but nothing helped.

Did Firefox update to 27.0.1?
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

this option is valid if i am able to launch the firefox, but unable to launch. other browser are working completely without anyproblem. but firefox is not even gets started, just a sound comes when i click the shortcut.

i was unable to launch firefox 2 days before, after that i downloaded the recent version, and installed it, which upgraded the the installed version but was unable to launch again. the updated version is firefox 28.0b3.exe after that i went for Boot into safe mode with networking and delete the Firefox install folder said above. See: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-windows-in-safe-mode/ suggested by you for similar problem as taskmanager was not showing firefox.exe running. after that i unistalled and deleted every file of firefox as u suggested but nothing is helping. would it be helpful if i format my system and install every part again, or is there any other way to get out of here. plz suggest
