Use AppMenu button - Options - Account Settings
In the Account Settings window select the account to be removed in the left pane. Then choose 'Remove Account' from the 'Account Actions' drop-down menu at the bottom.

Just to confirm, are you asking how to uninstall Thunderbird?
I think that this is about removing the no longer used Gmail account from Thunderbird and not about uninstalling Thunderbird.
You can delete an account by selecting it in Tools -> Account Settings, and then "Remove Account" from the "Account Actions" list box at the bottom.
. I'm french and i'm going to try to speak english. It is about removing the no longer used Gmail account from Thunderbird and not about uninstalling Thunderbird. In tools, I haven't Account Settings, and then "Remove Account" from the "Account Actions" list box at the bottom. " I have searched in "Account Settings" in "edition" but i haven't found "Remove Account" Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help. I had not seen "gestion des comptes" in the bottom of the drop-down menu. Now, it's OK
The problem: 3 TB accounts in the same panel. 1 Used for Email, One News, One designated "Nobody on local folders". I cannot get rid of the Nobody. This occurred when I transferred my Email from an XP to W 8.1 computer using Mozbackup. The drop down block "remove account" does absolutely nothing. Have been tempted to remove the file folder but concerned about the result if I do that. Any ideas?
