What is the problem? This has made my life almost impossible. Do you understand the impact of not being able to use links in emails? It is the only way to access what the email is about. It means I cannot unsubscribe from anything either. When I tried to follow manual instructions they did not make sense and what was described was not what was on the set up. I am not a tech I don't understand and for Thunderbird to have no way to get help is beyond shameful and insulting. It is a "fuck you" to all of us. Insult to injury is the constant nag for donations. How dare you ask for this when you provide no help at all. It should be illegal to do this. I have tried for help on here before and received no answer. I cannot function like this. There is no Kindness here. ' When I try to take a screen shot the pop-up message disappears. This is what it says "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing his action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page." I tried and it would not do it and only Chrome was offered. I do not use Chrome. I need my email back. Thunderbird has effectively ruined my life. It should not be this hard or disrespectful.

Thunderbird email stopped receiving new emails about mid-afternoon two days ago. Now the only way to received new email is to turn off security. Outgoing emails are unaffected.

When attempting to receive emails following security re-initiation, the following message is displayed: "The certificate for Wowway.com is not valid for that server. . . ."

Wowway (WOW!) cannot help.

Please keep response as non-technical as possible, as I am a novice.

Font size is tiny on reply to emails.

We have 1000 clients network and most of the clients having thunderbird installed (latest version) and configured , since last few months we started getting complaints that some of the local folders not showing their content mail in the system , we tried to repair folder does not work, we tried renaming .msf does not work.. when we see the some of the local folders mail they appear in the list but if you try to open it it opens blank and after trying troubleshooting steps thoes mails getting disappeared.. please assist..

Hey everyone,

I'm using Thunderbird for my work email and looking for a way to have it automatically suggest email addresses when composing an email, based on emails I’ve received—not just the ones I’ve sent or saved in my address book.

In Gmail and Outlook, when you start typing an email address, they automatically suggest addresses from your inbox history, even if they’re not in your contacts. Is there a way to make Thunderbird do the same?

Any built-in settings, add-ons, or workarounds to achieve this? Would really appreciate any advice!

Email fine for 10 years until today, no email since 8am yesterday. No changes to computer, I have rebooted twice. Called my provider and they suggest a few changes in tho box that pops up when I click get messages. After location, I have mail.knology.net:143, the had me try imap.mail.knology.net, imap.mail.woway.com, and then adding :110 to all of these. Nothing helped, then they said to try to get help from Mozilla.

Your help please.

btw, I also have two gmail address in Mozilla and the work fine.

A specific email thread has disappeared from both my inbox and sent folders. I was in the process of writing a reply to the sender, my hand twitched (this happens from time to time) and I must have triggered TBird to glitch somehow. Next thing I know, the whole thread is gone. I can still access it by logging in to the organization's Outlook client directly.

I did a search for the email in TBird and the results indicate it can be found in both the Inbox and Sent folders (it's not), and it doesn't show up in the message list pane. I can access it by clicking on one of the search results, and I can reply to it from there. I have closed and restarted TBird with no change to this issue. This makes me wonder if my twitchy hand caused it to become "hidden" somehow.

Any ideas to help fix this would be appreciated!

I just had a situation where my computer installed a few updates. When I opened Thunderbird it was on a old version, several updates ago. I had probably 50 folders under my profile and now there are only 16. I'm not really sure what happened.

Is there a way to find the old folders?

I can drag and drop some existing email addresses from my address book into a new mailing group, but Firefox refuses to allow other email addresses to be dragged and dropped. It seems completely arbitrary as to which existing email accounts can be drag and dropped and which cannot. The online "HELP" instructions for this function are completely outdated, written for an earlier version of the software, and are no help at all. The whole process of creating a mailing group that has several (30-40 or more) existing email addresses in it is a giant task if one cannot drag and drop those into the group. It is as if whoever designed the mail group function did not expect anyone to set up anything but small groups. Please fix this function!! It's current usability is severely limited and a real pain to use.
