Sound will play using Internet Explorer The music player was receiving information about the program that was being broadcast but no sound. I loaded Microsoft Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin 1.0.0.8 then not even the information about what was being broadcast would display.

That requires the Windows Media Player (type="application/x-mplayer2"), so that should be working with the new WMP plugin (np-mswmp) installed.
