Emails disappeared and not showing up in search
I created a folder in one of my email accounts. I put all emails that I want to save in that folder. I unchecked the setting that deletes email after XX number of days.
Still, emails from months ago, when I search for them, they're missing and do not show up in the search.
Why?

There are multiple ways to search in Thunderbird. Please explain which way you're searching.
Are you saying you're not actually missing messages, but (whatever way of searching you're using) doesn't find them?
Hey chris, no, the emails aren't showing up in the search and they aren't actually there. They're gone.
I search for a persons name and its odd because it shows me SOME old emails, but not all, 50%+ are gone.

I use both the QUICK FILTER and the regular search - but not at the same time.
I use ... the regular search
So I guess that means Global Search. When messages are gone they may still be found in the global index. Then people often conclude the messages still exist when they don't.
What happened to your actual messages, I don't know.
