Thunderbird and gmail are not working together. I only have access to my email through google.com. I have had my Thunderbird account for many years, and miss all the advantages it offers. The failure occurred on 22 July, three days ago. The same day I installed You Tube.

There is no such thing as a "Thunderbird account". You've set up an account with an email provider, e.g. Gmail or Yahoo. Then you use Thunderbird to access mail for that account on your email provider's server, as well as to send mail via your email provider's server.

Thunderbird and gmail are not working together.
