It will open in Safe Mode. I have gone through and applied all the suggestions in the trouble shooting article that referred to this fault but with no sucess. It still will not open except in Safe Mode. By the way, I am using IE to send this! I am using Firefox version 7.0.1

This problem is caused by Trusteer Rapport

Thanks for the info. I have told Trusteer Rapport of the problem and am waiting for the reply. In the meantime I have stopped Trusteer Rapport and I can now use Firefox. So all ok and I must thank you for your help.
